Disable client side validation on Save button only!

Hi,

Greetings. Hope you are doing well! I am trying to work on disabling client-side validations on click of OOTB Save button, for this i have written a js function which will set bClientValidation =false; and then calling the usual Save action. This flag is being set to false but i still se the pop-up saying "Please correct flagged fields before submitting the form!" I cannot remove the complete client-side validation from harness but instead trying to find ways to do this. Has anyone done similar implementation?

I am on Pega 8.7.0.
