Difference B/W thread DataPage and Page created using Page-New method
Hi All
Can someone tell me the difference between a thread level editable DataPage and Page created using Page-New method?
They both reside in user pages, consuming the same amount of memory. When do i choose what?
Can someone provide a detailed explanation..

Hi,
Thank you for posting your question on PSC:
A data page is automatically created whenever any properties on the page are accessed, if the page does not already exist. You do not have to explicitly create these pages by using the Page-New method or other methods. Data pages with parameters are loaded only when mandatory parameters are provided.

For your reference, one usecase for editable datapage usecase can be If you need to fetch a record from the database by sending the key column as a parameter and updating the requried values on to the data page by performing obj- save on the data page.

I think the above two replies are not relevant to the Question asked by Santosh. I am also interested to understand the exact difference between a clipboard page created in activity and a Thread level data page.?
In which scenario we go with Thread level data pages? Activity pages are also having scope with in same thread then why should we go with Thread level data pages.?

Thread level D page is nothing but if you specify the page as thread level, than that can be accesble for that perticular thread Only.
