Defragmentation strategy

We are planning to update the OOTB defragmentation strategy of pr_sys_locks table from DAILY to an interval of 6 hours. Also, in parallel we are planning to rebuild the index on the table from the DB side.

We are looking for some insights/inputs on the below -

  1. Does Pega OOTB defrag rebuilds or reorganizes the index or does both?
  2. Will there be any locking issues during this process?
