Date type property column issue while exporting report definition results to excel sheet.

Hi,

This issue in PRPC 7.3.

A property of type Date is not populating when Report definition resulted data exported to excel sheet. It is not working though the format of the column changed to any type(this is report definition - each column has a gear icon at the end to apply different format and width). This property stores in blob column, no dedicated table in the db.

However export to excel shows the data for this property, when we change the type to DateTime. (This has been achieved by withdrawing the property in one version and recreate the same as DateTime in next highest version).

Is there any issue if the property type is Date while export to Excel sheet? Exporting to PDF works fine.

Hi Santanu,

I am afraid i can't share the screen shot as it has the business data. However i am unable to see the data for that particular column if the property type is Date. It works only after changing the type to DateTime. But in the export we see the column populating time stamp as well which is not required unfortunately.

Please let me know if you need additional info. I can raise SR with all the requested info if you want to understand the issue more deeply.

Hello Veera,

I tried using plain Date property and my end and I was able to export the data successfully. There is no issue with the date type format. Could you post a screen shot of the format which you are using for the column. 

Try entering the plain "Date" format in the column format field. 

Alternatively you can use the Date Time property and use a function to truncate the time stamp from the property.

Hi Faizan,

I did try those options from the report definition before i post this. Neither those options working for me.

I had to recreate that property as DateTime in higher version to see the data in the excel sheet after import.
