We have established a Kafka data instance in Pega and intend to send instances through the dataset-execute method. However, if the Kafka instance times out, the behavior of the dataset-execute method failure in the queue processor is unusual. We can successfully capture errors by setting DSS dataset/execute/save/statusFailOnError to true. Nonetheless, if we set the activity status to Fail, the instances are retried and rescheduled after the third retry, but they do not move to the broken queue. We are uncertain as to the whereabouts of these instances if they are not in the broken queue"
