data base username and password

Hi,

i want to change username and password of oracle database instance, in which file i can update new username and password?

Systems differ but on mine I sometimes control passwords from the CMD window on windows by going into sqlplus.  For instance, I do this when the oracle password expires.

 

Also, I see my password specified in this file on my tomcat server:

apache-tomcat-7.0.56-windows-x64\apache-tomcat-7.0.56\conf\context.xml

Hi,

Adding to Eric's update, for Websphere, you can do that under JAAC-J2C Authentication by going through related Datasource configuration.

For Weblogic, you can check in Datasource configuration page.
