Converting List and summary reports

Hi,

In Case manager portal, I followed the instructions in links 'https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/reporting/84/converting-list-report-summarized-report', to convert a list report to summary report.

Step 3 says, 'Click Actions Summarize' but Action menu only has two options, 1. Report details and 2. Sort.

So i tried the inverted triangle icon 'Open menu' in column and used the option 'Summarize this column...', the report changed to summary report and even 'Add Chart' button appears.

Now that the report isn't saved yet, i wish to continue working with list report but there is no way to undo my action 'Summarize this column'. Where can i find the option to undo? 

As of now i just close and reopen the report to continue working from beginning. Is this the only way?

Also the above mentioned link and this another link 'https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/reporting/84/converting-summarized-report-list-report' needs update.

I still couldn't find any other way to undo my changes to report. If anyone has any idea, please share..

Thanks for the response Marc.

I was simply reusing an existing list report and tried to work on various available options just for learning purpose. When i saw that we can convert list reports to summary reports and vise versa, i tried the given steps on the same report that i was using. When i saw the effect and wanted to undo it so i can try something else, i realized there is no way to go back. Hence i just wanted to check whether there is undo option somewhere that i am not aware of. So i raised this question.

I think there is no undo option, isn't so Marc? I am just confirming my understanding.

Hi Marc,

 

I just checked the Case Manager Portal, Now if we choose Action -> Summarize, a model/dialog appears for us to check various oprions and apply or cancel the changes. This was not there when i raised this question. 

This option in Action menu helps a lot.
