Can I add Pega 7.1.7 application as a remote node to a SMA which is installed as part of Pega 7.2 application in a different server and everything will work fine without any known issue? I was able to connect and did some smoke testing (not able to do complete testing) but wanted to know if there is something which might not work or we have to consider while using this setup.

The reason for doing this is below-

We have one application in Pega v7.1.7 and another in Pega v7.2 and both of these could not be upgraded to Pega 8.x immediately due to some constraints. As IE support will be gone, we will no longer be able to use IE and have to use Chrome instead starting from June 2022. As per Pega support documentation, SMA will work only in IE. I tried to test SMA using Chrome and looks like it is working when I am opening the SMA for Pega 7.2 application in Chrome. However, SMA for 7.1.7 is not working (nothing is happening when clicked on the link for node) when opened using Chrome browser.

As a work around, we were thinking if we add Pega 7.1.7 application as a remote node to Pega 7.2 SMA and everything works for 7.1.7 like it is working for 7.2 application.
