Configure database connections in prconfig.xml
I was taking a shot at the lsa readiness test and come across a question regarding encrypting dabatase password in prconfig.xml file.
Since i didn't have any experience in configure database connections in said file i did some research and found this article
Which contains the following sentence: "For example, use prconfig.xml-based connection pooling when deploying Process Commander in Tomcat", which left me wondering why.
I've never had a problem configuring connection pool in tomcat so i'm a bit confused about the previous sentence.
Does anyone have any input as to why i should configure db connection in prconfig on tomcat?

You brought up a good point, I think the article maybe out of date (use suggest edit to provide your feedback). You are right, most of the time, you should use tomcat connection pool (app server managed connection pool). The only exception I am aware is sometimes you use jdbc url for connection, in that case, Pega uses the Hikari connection pool: https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/database-management/hikaricp-connection-pool-configuration
