Clarification on Default Locking on grand childcase
Hi,
I have a grand child case "GC" and in this grand child case locking options I have not checked the box "do not lock parent case if child case is being performed".
So if any user is working on this grand child case, does it will lock both parent and grand parent cases or it will lock only parent or it will not lock any case?. can some one quickly clarify about this. Thanks in advance....

It won't lock anything as the option you have selected is "Do NOT lock parent case if child case is being performed". By default the parent is automatically locked when the child is open, you can alter this by choosing the option "do not lock parent case if child case is being performed". Note this only works to its direct parent and not grandparent. If you want to make sure the grand parent is not locked you will need to check this option on the parent case.
