Character codeset defaults to 819 in Connect-MQ while writing the messages in IBM MQ
We are facing an issue when writing a message in Swedish characters in IBM MQ via Connect-MQ rule. The char set is specified as 1208 for UTF-8 format in the request header but still it defaults to 819 and few swedish characters are displayed as symbols.
When the message is written directly in MQ explorer then it displays properly but when we write it in PEGA then there is some encoding issue.
If someone has faced any similar issues regarding encoding in connect MQ rule then please let me know how did you resolve it.

Hi Nilesh , We are in the process of upgrading from 7.1.7 to 7.4 and we ran in to same issue. We have similar issue where encoding is defaulting to 819. Or if we set encoding to some # like 123 ..then when we browse the message we are able to notice that Pega just adds it as 123 without any validation for encoding .. What is the resolution in your case if you have one ? , Did the hot fix install help ? , We are awaiting SR response on ours .. and we think we may get a hot fix or a DSS value.

You may have to test with the fix HFIX-49922. Please raise a support request to get the hot fix.
