Changing background color of a specific tab in a layout group

We have a tabbed layout group with different tabs.

Every tab must have a white background, except last tab which must have the tab in green. Is there any way to achieve this result?

We defined the default behaviour in the skin, then defined a css class in a css file and tried to apply it in the presentation tab of the layout, but the result is that the tab background is still transparent except after you clicked on it and it becomes partially green in this way:

Is there any way to have the whole tab colored and to have it always colored?
