Case base calculation is not working on an embedded page
Hi,
The calculation between cases, defined in the calculation tab of the case type rule, is not working if a property of an embedded page is mentioned in the property reference field. I am using Pega version 7.1.9
I can see an article on the same line but looks like there is no fix yet on this. Can someone please confirm

As far as i can derive from the old case notes of the associated Support Article and SR , the said feature , that is Properties from embedded page is not supported . So you have to go by the local change suggested in the article.

Hi Santanu,
You mean that there is no fix even in latest versions of Pega (like 7.2.X) and we have to go with the local change of customizing the system generated trigger activity even in Pega 7.2.x version as I am looking if there any solution from Pega in the latest versions in this regard.

Yes you are right. There is no fix available.
The Pega Help also says the same . Refer this and check Step 4 and 6

Thanks for the above information Santanu. But if there is no support for embedded page calculation propagation from child to parent, we will end up creating excessive number of properties at work group level instead of leveraging data class especially when there are complex calculations involved in the application.
