Capstone
Looking at ‘How does Pega Academy work?’ on academy.pega.com – I’ve come across a word I’m not familiar with.
In the description of Mission, Mission Exercise and Mission Test, it talks about them being ‘capstone’.
E.g
‘...end with a capstone Mission Exercise and Test’.
‘Mission Exercises are capstone hands-on exercises found at the end of a Mission.’
What are you trying convey here with the word 'capstone'?
@AlexS7887 Hi Alex,
In most training programs - even at university - a capstone project is usually the final assignment.
In Pega Academy, this final assignment is the mission exercise. The mission exercise is designed to consolidate your learning with valuable hands-on experience in applying what they learned to a real-world scenario.
Each mission exercise provides you an opportunity to build an innovative Pega solution for a real-world business problem. You will notice that mission exercises are far less prescriptive than challenges. This is by design - we want you to build your own solution following the given acceptance criteria.
As noted on our website, the mission tests are capstone assessments. They test your understanding of all the concepts covered in that specific Mission.
