Hi Balasubramaniam,

Are you asking if there is a button or simple way to automatically convert a dynamic layout into a smart layout?

If yes, then I do not believe there is. Because wouldn't you have to have an exact "1 to 1" sort of mapping between the two styles of layouts for this to even be possible?

What would happen if you had a dynamic layout that would not fit into the single, double, triple layouts that smart layouts uses?

Sure, there is nothing technically from "stopping" you. While these older free form layouts and smart layouts are not "officially" deprecated as far as I can tell from documentation, I would personally consider them "effectively" deprecated in the sense that you should avoid using them in new development.

As a best practice you should be utilizing the newer dynamic layouts introduced in Pega 7
