Can PegaRules log and others be redirected to database via prlog4j2 settings?

Can I basically configure prlog4j2 to write all the content to another destination entirely - like a database or external file system somewhere? Is this possible? Does anyone know of a good crash course in prlog4j2 settings that they can share to better understand the options behind the loggers and what can and can't be done with Pega deployments around logging?
