Can custom "Step Types" be added to step menu in Pega Case Designer by Pega consulting, partner, client, CoE?

Hi,

in documentation here are mentioned "case step types".

Is it possible for a client/partner as ProDeveloper via Dev Studio to extend Pega Case Designer (in App Studio and Dev Studio) and to provide custom "step types" (client "Lego Bricks") that are added to the step menu in Case Designer. These "step types" should have their own color/icon/configuration form (right-hand bar in case designer).

If yes, can you provide an example how to achieve that?

I found an old example for "custom smart shapes" in Flow Designer, but no example for step types in Case Designer.
