Call an action (button action) from Activity/JavaScript
Hello,
I need to call the "Open Assignment" action from an activity and from a javaScript function and to parse its "key" of course.
Does anyone know how to start an action from Activity/JavaScript?

Hi Pankaj,
The "Open Assignment" action, is an action that is normally started on click of a button. In my case, I would like to launch this action from an activity and not from a button.
But there is no method in the activity that does this scenario: starting an action such as "Open Assignment" or "Run Script" ...
So I am asking if there is a way to do it?
Or, if it is not possible to call a Button Action from an activity, is there a way to call it from a javaScript file?

I am still not sure if I still understand the use case properly.
In any case there is an openAssignment javascript function that takes assignment key as parameter. You might want to look at pyAssignmentsLabel control we use in case contents.
This might help in what you are trying to achieve.

Eventually, I couldn't find exactly what I wanted which is to simulate the scenario of calling an action button, but from an activity and not the button.
Luckily, there isn't only 1 way to proceed.
