Calendar with drag and drop functionality

My requirement:

Need a typical Calendar UI in which I need to drag and drop a Text Item (listed outside of Calendar, but on the work-area) on a particular business date.

This will help me to view my year-long planned activities, monthly, quarterly and half-yearly.
