Caching for API exposed through Service REST

We have a Service Package that exposes an API with a Service REST.  We have searched for a way to configure Pega caching on this service but can't find one.  Is there a configuration we can enable for it.  We're finding one of our consumers is sending the same request many times within seconds.  We'd like to avoid the processing for the same requests within maybe 30 seconds.
