Buttons are getting freezed when error messages are set thru Page-Set-Messages in an activity

I have requirement where i need to get the results base on the radio button selected. when ever there are no results for any radio button value i am seeting an error messages thru page-set-message method in a activity.

but when the messages is displayed in the harness, the reset and search buttons in the section are getting freezed and i am not able to reset the search values again.

This is happening only to buttons, drop down and text values are working fine.
