Autocomplete control fails to load all results from Data Page
Hi,
I have an autocomplete control whose source is a Data Page. The source of this Data Page is an activity in which we query call a stored procedure. First 15 to 20 values are displayed and When you scroll down the field, the loading symbol persists on the screen, and the values are never fetched and listed for selection.
Note: Values are present in DB as well as on Data Page in clipboard. There is no pagination format in the grid where this autocomplete field is used.
Please suggest the possible solution.

Hi Parwej,
A list of 9000 values is a large data set to use as the source for an autocomplete. It will cause very slow performance issue.
The best way to handle such use case is to use parameterized data pages to filter the results so that there is only a subset of the data sourcing the autocomplete.

The most common way is to use a Report Definition as the source of the data page. It will allow you to configure a filter condition based on a parameter value (define the parameter in the parameters tab).
Again, please check the last field of the "Autocomplete" example in UI Gallery. It uses Report Definition as the source of the Data Page.

Can you check "Autocomplete" example in UI Gallery?
The last field of the screen whose source is a Data Page. You can check its configuration.
The values are more than 20. It works ok when I scroll down the field. See attached screenshot.

Thanks for your quick reply. I checked the configuration in UI Gallery. In my case also first 20 values are displayed but on scrolling down its blank even after some time. Also this is happening as around 9000 values fetched from DB. Screenshots are attached.
Is it taking much time to load the data there?
Can there be any issue in DB script?
