is ASYNCDECLARATIVEPOOL service package still required in 8.4

Do we have any significance of ASYNCDECLARATIVEPOOL in 8.4?

I found below article related to async datapages and it seems that option has been removed. but yet we find this service package being shipped.

It should still be working as before unless the requestor pool is disabled, which is the OOTB behavior if you are running Kubernetes deployment with Pega (starting from 8.4+).
