Archiving Strategy for a large Pega Application 864

Hello Pega Community,

We are working on devising a Archiving Strategy for a very large Pega Application (35++ million cases per year) and we are on Pega 864 on a client managed cloud. In the absence of an OOTB Archival solution, we are looking for potential solutions. The table sizes have increases to levels where its starting to impact performance and we need to turn around something quickly. The app is on client managed cloud and not Pega cloud. 

We have reference of a case study doc from Pega (2012) and a PDN article that that talks about archival in Pega Cloud 8.7 + versions. Neither caters to our needs. 

Does anyone have a good reference point other than those mentioned?
