Any experience resolving Dashes in Email Address?

Greetings,

I am experiencing the issue described here: https://community.pega.com/support/support-articles/pega-does-not-accept-dashes-operator-id-field.

Under Resolution, that article says:

  • Perform the following local-change in the Mappings tab of the Authentication Service:
    • Replace the hyphen with an underscore (_).

Has anyone fixed this problem in their environment using Basic Authentication? The problem I have is that I do not know what to put in the Map From and Map To fields. I've tried everything I can think of, and support has yet to clarify.

Anyone?
