Thank you for posting your query here.

If you have created a section using a design template from the App Studio, open that section in Designer studio. You would be able to see a link as convert to full setting editor. If you click on it you would be prompted with a screen where it confirms if you would like to revert this templated section to normal section. If you submit , you can add layouts to the section that is now made a normal section.
