Access Group Removal from higher environment.

Hi,
Can someone explain what is the best way to remove unreferred/unused access groups from higher environemnt?
We have some AGs in production which are not in use any more, now we have to delete them from all the environments. I know we can prepare DB scripts(delete query) and that can be executed in higher env. But I want to know how shall we delete the Access Role To Object instances, Favourites rule instances(System-User-MyRules) for the deleted access groups.

Will pega handle it internally?( on removal of AG by DB scripts)
