About VM-Based deployments of V8.8
We plan to upgrade Pega V8.8 in a VM-Based deployments. I believe the support is guaranteed for a total of 36 months (18 months standard support, 18 months extended support) from the release date. The VM-Based deployments has been deprecated since V8.8, but will it still be supported for 3 years? What is the scope of support? (Provision of Patches? Provision of Hotfixes? Responding to inquiries on SR?)

HI @sulgik29: Please see the below
During the standard support (first 18 months) there will be full support. Once you enter into the extended support, there are some limitations as mentioned in the article.
Thanks.

Could you please review the following Pega Documentation articles for more information?

Thank you for sharing the references, but sorry to say the reference links still does not clarify the question.
Q1. The VM-Based deployments has been deprecated since V8.8, but will it still be supported for 3 years?
Q2. What is the scope of support? (Provision of Patches? Provision of Hotfixes? Responding to inquiries on SR?)
We have the similar query regarding VM based deployment and scope of the support. We are planning for a cloud migration and want to be clear on above two question to set a deadline for cloud migration.
Suggestions are highly appreciated.

Q1. The VM-Based deployments has been deprecated since V8.8, but will it still be supported for 3 years?
-> Under the Pega standard and extended support program, you have 36 months after the release of Pega Platform '24 before Pega no longer supports VM-based deployments.
Q2. What is the scope of support? (Provision of Patches? Provision of Hotfixes? Responding to inquiries on SR?)
-> After the Extended Support period expires, Pega no longer releases patches or hotfixes to address any bugs or security issues. If your version of Pega software passes the end of Extended Support, you need to update your application to the latest version and patch to ensure you are on the most secure, reliable, feature-rich version of Pega Infinity.

I hope this clarifies your questions.

Appreciate you taking your time out and replying to this thread.
Apologies, but we need more information here. Let me rewrite my concerns:
We are planning for cloud migration, and we want to set strict deadling on by when we must complete cloud migration.
1. we are following vm based deployment.
2. we are first upgrading to pega 8.8
3. then set the cloud migration deadline, and complete cloud migration.
We have referenced three main pega articles and want to be clear on the scope of 'Deprecated support'
Please provide the answer to the question, and correct the understanding if we wrong.
Article 1: https://docs.pega.com/bundle/platform-88/page/platform/release-notes/deprecated-features.html
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finding: Starting from Pega 8.8, pega infra is changed from standard support to 'Deprecated support'.
Question 1. Does 'deprecated support' include 3 yrs of standard and extended support?
Question 2. what is the scope of 'Deprecated Support'? ( can we raise SR, receive updates, receive patches, hotfix etc)

Question 3: It is not mentioned if it is applicable for VM based deployments which falls under 'Deprecated support'
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Findings: Pega will continue providing deprecated support for next two pega's releases that is till Pega 8.9, pega 8.10.
Question 4: So to set deadline date for cloud migration, we can plan till Pega 8.10 version ?
