Pega Benelux DX Community event (April 2025) - hand-out
On April 16, Pega organised the Pega Benelux DX Community event in Utrecht. Sopra Steria sponsored and hosted the event.
The 2025 DX Community event was a full-day event focused on how Blueprint and Pega GenAI can help achieve business outcomes faster, foster better collaboration with the business, and accelerate delivery. The goal is to increase advocacy and drive broad adoption of Blueprint and Pega GenAI within our clients and community.
During the day, we shared real-world stories from the field, peeked into the future and conducted a hands-on Blueprinting workshop.
The storyline used during is day is one we do want to share here as well:
In the early 19th century, along the rugged coast of Maine, there stood a lighthouse known for its reliability. For generations, it had guided ships safely to harbor through the region's notorious fog banks.
One year, an unusually persistent fog settled over the coast. It lasted not for days, but for weeks. Ships were stranded at sea, unable to navigate the treacherous rocks. The local economy, dependent on maritime trade, began to suffer.
The lighthouse keeper, Sarah Harmon, faced an impossible challenge. The traditional light couldn't penetrate the dense fog, no matter how brightly it burned. Rather than accepting defeat, she began experimenting with sound.
Sarah created a system of bells and horns that could be heard even when nothing could be seen. She developed patterns and sequences that communicated not just warnings but specific navigational guidance. Ships could now "hear" their way to safety, even when they couldn't see the path.
Within weeks, maritime traffic resumed. The harbor town not only recovered but thrived as it became known as the one port that could operate safely regardless of conditions.
What Sarah discovered wasn't just a new tool—it was an entirely new paradigm. When the traditional approach hit its limits, she didn't just try to make the light brighter; she completely reimagined what guidance could look like.
This is exactly what Pega is doing today with Pega Blueprint and AI in delivery. We're not just making traditional software development faster—we're fundamentally reimagining how applications are designed and delivered. Blueprint and AI provide guidance through the complexity of digital transformation, allowing organizations to accelerate outcomes even when the path forward isn't immediately visible.
During the event, we look at how this new paradigm is transforming how we work, just as Sarah's innovation transformed maritime navigation nearly two centuries ago.

The agenda was as follows:
