PEGA Common Data Model- Bulk Upload Data
Hi Team,
We need to do a bulk upload of data in Common Data Model Entity (Eg: Account Entity). Can you please pour some insight where to start to understand the entire process?

@VigneshK17287711 To start the bulk upload process for a Common Data Model Entity, log into the Catalog Manager portal and click on the 'Bulk upload' link in the left navigation. The bulk upload feature supports three entities: Product specification, Product offering, and Composite price. Choose the upload type from these entities and click on the 'Download template' button to insert entity records. Additionally, you can click on the 'Download instructions' button to understand the fields in the downloaded template. For the Product specification entity, there is an option to upload images or videos, which allows you to attach media content to the product specification entity by using the same file name in the specification CSV file.

@thulg Hi Thulasi, Thanks for your input. Just to add on, I'm looking for Customer Service-> Common Data Model-> Entity-> Bulk Upload Data. Here I don't see Catalog manager portal.

The Data Portal allows you to upload sample data and view the model using that data.

There are two main ways to import data into the Pega Common Data Model:
1. Data Loaders (for bulk customer data) Via UI (Data Import Wizard):
Common data model is shipping pre-defined data loader templates. Use prebuilt CSV templates available under Records → Technical → Binary File (filter by “dataloaders”). Download the dataloaders csv file & fill in data.
Then go to App Studio → Tools (in left side panel) →click on Data Import Wizard -> Launch Data Import Wizard to upload, map fields, validate, and import. Please follow the attached images for detailed flow.

2. Sample Data Utility (for demo data/small data sets) Use the sample data utility via the Data Portal to manage and import sample data. Follow the documentation for steps.
