Edit Validate Rule Customized Java Code
Hi All,
By using the below Java code, we can validate any kind of character, like control characters, numbers, alphabets, special symbols, etc.
Example Code: By using the below Java code, we can strict the Special Characters ~, |".
Like wise, by adding the required character ASCII code, we can validate or restrict the on-UI.
Add ASCII code into the if Condition.
Please let us know if there is anything we need to add here.
for (int pos = 0, len = theValue.length(); pos < len; ++pos)
{
char c = theValue.charAt(pos);
int ascii =(int)c;
if ((ascii==44 ) || (ascii==124) || (ascii==126)) // This is blocking the , ~, |
{
theProperty.addMessage("Not Allowed Special Characters ~ , |");
return false;
}
}
return true;
