question about update checker

We are working on POC env and have couple of questions:

1. is there any update checker available for Pega23?

2. We ran update checker on 8.4 for target version 8.8.3 (downloaded updateChecker88) but it was throwing error for the ruleset version PegaCS-UpgradeChecker:08-08 but working ok with PegaCS-UpgradeChecker:08-04
