Workgroup Auto-Balancing VS Scheduling
Hello Dear Community members,
I would like to confirm because i have not found this in documentation.
Currently we use autobalancing functionality, 1 robot does autobalancing in 3 different workgroups, autobalancing works more less alright, robot switches between workgroups when defined SLA in robot queue is hit.
But apart from this autobalancing feature we would need to use also scheduling, in a way that we would like to turn off the robots during the weekends and also during the night, for example from 9PM to 6AM in the morning. So robot in case there will come same cases robot will not process them becasue usually our applications do not work during the night and also during the weekends
After few days testing we noticed that when schedule is enabled, autobalancing does not work, robot just stays in a workgroup (Online - Green) whether it has or does not have any tasks to process.
My question is, can autobalancing functionality work simultaneously with schedule functionality ? Or we need to choose one or another ?

@DavidT As far as I know, you can use any one of these options at a time. When RM schedule is enabled, you can notice that both start and stop options are disabled for that Robot. Better option for your scenario is to use auto balancing and check application availability inside the automation eg: after 3 consecutive failures, stop the run. If not possible to handle within automation, use RM scheduler to stop between time frames - obviously a force stop.

Auto-balancing respects the active robot schedules and will use and move the robot if required only when sitting in the Otherwise default work group.
To confirm for everybody's benefit. Auto-balancing is designed and works in conjunction with scheduling. If you find that this is not the case, please, raise an incident to our support team and we'll work with you to understand what it is not working or if there is a bug in the product, fix it.
