Pega Marketing Microsite

Hello,

 

We configured pega subscription microsite . W used pega OOTB flow. I have below questions.

1.When user clicks on the link how does pega know it is a valid user? Will it validate against the customer data table?If yes does it check based on email ? 

For us always it is saying no customer record found.
