pega to aws connectivity using saml2aws

We are on 8.4. Sounds like OOTB S3 as repo with access key auth not working as key expires every 6 hours for us. Wondering if there is a extension activity we can fix to write some code to let the connectivity happen with saml2aws? Or any other options we have to avoid getting a access key every 6 hours?
