Can someone suggest how to consume json response containing escaped characters (e.g. double quotes and newline) so it can be parsed to create the right response classes?

e.g. 

{ \"root\" : \n "\param1\": \"value1\"} 

I turned following DSS to true before running the wizard

DSS name: json/escapeSpecialCharacters
ruleset: Pega-IntSvcs
Value: True
