We have a dashboard and the dashboard displays two links. On click action, I have set to use openURLinNewWindow with redirectandrun activity and launching a portal by overriding the existing one using "_top" in the window name section.

So first time, user logs in, clicks the left nav dashboard icon, the links are displayed, clicks the launch, the portal is reloaded.

Inside the portal now, I have list of cases displayed as tiles in the work area, the left nav is still the same in the new portal with the same dashboard icon.

I click open a case and without closing or cancelling out the case, I click on the left nav dashboard icon, and it takes me to my first screen where I see the links.

Now I click the link again, and now this instead of relaunching my portal, the screen just refreshes and nothing happens.

Any help will be highly appreciated.
