Will W3C Trace Context standard become a supported feature in Pega API Services?

In reference to the W3C Trace Context specification.

As I understand it, custom headers can already be implemented, and relevant request/response configuration in our connector/service rules can be leveraged to support this standard.

With regards to the existing Pega API Services, is there a preferred way to support this standard now or possibly as a supported feature in a future product version?
