Deployment Manger 5.3 - Perform Manual step won't refresh

We have a "Manual Step" as first step in every stage in a pipeline. Sometimes when deployment process reaches the manual step, it won't refresh automatically and we had a do a manual refresh. Please let us know if there is a setting which we can change to refresh the pipeline more often then it should.

Sometimes, it happens with other steps as well other than manual step. Like, when generating artifacts, it won't move/transition to next stage until we do a hard refresh.
