Is there any impact to change the "pattern inheritance first" checkbox for a work class created through the case designer ?
I would like a clarification/feedback of whether someone is aware of any impact on what is following.
(Just for the record, we are currently working on 8.3.3)
1 - When a class rule is created manually (for a work class for example), before saving the class rule form, it is possible to check/uncheck the "Find by name first (Pattern)" checkbox, whatever the "This class" dropdown value is.
2 - When a case type is created using the case designer feature, it automatically creates the corresponding work class rule. Assume that this one belongs to a classgroup, the "Find by name first (Pattern)" checkbox is checked by default, and cannot be unchecked (OOTB) because the class rule has already been saved once automatically. => In that case, if for that class we want to use Direct inheritance first (<=> which means the "Find by name first (Pattern)" checkbox is unchecked), a workaround can be :
- private edit the "pzClassInheritance" section, and set the checkbox to be always editable
- refresh the class form, and edit the "Find by name first (Pattern)" checkbox if wanted
My question here is : is there any drawback to do the above workaround, which means modify the default inheritance strategy for a work class belonging to a classgroup created through the case designer ?
Thank you for your feedback.
