Is OOTB Dynamic system settings overwritten if performing pega 8 patch update?

We are planning to perform Pega 8.3 patch update.

Since we have changed a couple of OOTB Dynamic system settings in our environment, I want to know if OOTB Dynamic system settings are overwritten if we perform pega 8 patch update? 

It seems that the update-guide doesn't mention whether non-versioned OOTB rule/data will be overwritten or not.

No, custom value wont get updated after upgrade. If there's any additional dss introduced in the target version those will get added.
