How to open the attachment of type file without download

Hi,

We have a requirement to display/open the attachment of type file which are associated with the work object once user clicks on the attachment without download. Currently pyAttachmentFeedDescription control is used but after the click, file is downloaded in the local system and that needs to be restricted. 

Can anyone please let me know the feasibility of this requirement.
