Pega Sizing Guidelines - Mobile App
Hello - Are there any specific guidelines to be followed while Sizing for a Pega Mobile App? Also, other than adding the application use cases, do we need to account for any effort for mobile app configuration?

Hi,
We need to consider below things when we build an offline enabled mobile application. The list below is as of 8.1. Also if the application is for multiple devices especially if it is for Android also we have to consider testing effort on multiple device models. We need to consider testing effort on WiFi/mobile network etc...
- We need to consider flow processing in offline and limitations. Please see link provided below.
- Table/Grids are not supported. We need to use repeating dynamic layout.
- Limitations on supported controls, actions to be considered. Please see links below.
- We need to white list some of the rules like Data Pages, Data Transforms, Field Values, Validate rules and When rules if not directly referenced in UI.
- We might have to do Large Data page changes which requires custom java script changes in some scenario.
- Consider large number of users doing Sync same time.
- Parameterized data page is not supported. We need to get all the data and filter using java script. I am not sure if it is supported in recent versions.

Also, just a follow-up, are there any specific indicators that we should use in the Sizing sheet while estimating the effort for this?
