Pega URL query parameters encryption

Hi,

We are encrypting the url paramerets using OOTB pegamkt_engine_pegamktutilities.encryptURLQueryParams() and we can see internally PegaPlatform is using IPRCrypto.encrypt() function to encrypt the url parameters. Could anyone please let us know what the encryption/crypto are the ootb pega functions using?

We are using PegaPlatform v8.1.5 and PegaMarketing v8
