Dynamically change the file name in PDF Connector
Hi,
I have an issue with the following scenario in Pega Robot Studio.
Scenario:
The user dynamically selects the file name for PDF Connector using a windows form. Then he performs a search for a keyword in that file.
This automation works fine.
Then, the user selects a different file for the second time. But when he performs the search again, it does not run.
Question:
Is it not possible to change the file in the PDF Connector according to my requirement? This will mean changing the file name multiple times and performing the search.
Note:
The same automation is run every time. A default file name is not given for the PDF connector.
I am using Pega Robot Studio 19.1

What build of Pega Robotics are you using? There have been several changes in the PDF Connector since 19.1 was initially released and a later version may handle file switching better. I believe 19.1.27 added the ability to specifically "Open" a file rather than simply changing the FileName property.

I am using a later build and while I do not have your automation, I tested by getting the LineCount of a Document using the attached solution and it is working as I would expect it to. Perhaps you are not resetting the file, or it is not being closed between opening.

I am currently using Pega Robot Studio v Proprietary information hidden
I implemented the automation referencing to your attached project and also added the method to close the pdf.
It is working now.
