Identify Current Run in a Queue Processor
Hello All,
Previously in agents we had something called pyAttempts on the System-Queue-DefaultEntry class that we can use to identify the number of the current attempt.
This field doesn't see to work with the Queue Processors. Whats the alternate way to find the current re-try of the queue processor.

Hi Mohamad, you can open the broken queue xml from the Admin studio. In that pzAttempts tag will give you the attempts.

My requirement requires me to detect the current run inside the activity that is being executed by the Queue Processor.
For Example. Queue Processor A, Executes Activity B. After failing 4 times I need to do something.
Thus I need to identify the current attempt of the execution to do the (something).
Any idea on that? Like can I use pyQueuePage.pzAttempts to identify the current attempt from within the activity

Hi Mohan,
I'm afraid that that's not possible since the pyQueuePage is of class
System-Queue-DefaultEntry and the property pzAttempts is only found on the class
System-Message-QueueProcessor
However, the property pyAttempts exists on System-Queue-DefaultEntry but is not working ( Returns null).
If the Queue-Processors are to replace agents ( Deprecated ) and the pyAttempts work on agents, then I think this is a regression.

Hi Mohamad. You can configure the number of reattempt in queue-processor to 4 and then monitor(you can write trigger) the "SYSTEM-MESSAGE-QUEUEPROCESSOR-BROKENITEM" table by the property "pzMessageClass" with your queue processor class name. to handle your scenario.
