No average option in Summarize column for setting up report exercise

I'm completing the Business Architect Essentials course, up to the Designing a business report exercise, and when I get to step 15 in the Create a report to display assistance request data summarized by count and average service cost part, there is no Average option in the Summarize column. Is there a step missing in the instructions?

Danielle,

You either have a typo in your field name or the InvoiceTotal field is not a numeric data type.  If InvoiceTotal was the name of a field with a numeric data type then Average would show up as an option.
