How to disable @ mentions in Pulse

We have a requirement to disable @ functionality in Pega Pulse completely. In other words, @ should be treated as normal text in Pega Pulse. I tried overridding few DTs by setting pyHideMentions value to true but still some scripts are getting called and UI hangs when user types @ in Pulse comments box. We are in 8.2.2 version. Did anyone try in the past? Help is appreciated.

Hi Venkat,

' initMentionedInstance ' function is used to initialize mentions for post text.

This function is called on the focus event for the text area in the pyPostMessageArea (PegaSocial-Message class) available rule.

You can try removing the 'On Focus - Run script' action set for this purpose.
