System Architect Essentials for Pega 8.1
Hello Team,
For Exercise "Configuring reference data" in the System Architect Essentials" course when I login I dont see the
case types menu or switch studios option (Screenshot attached). As per the exercise i logged in using the author_ie@gogoroad. I resolved the issue by clicking on the gear icon. It refreshed and brought the menu back. I am not sure why its not retaining it. Highly appreciate insight on this.

Hi,
Please try below approaches :
Approach 1: On the top left corner, click on operator encircled. Check if you are getting the switch portal or not, if yes switch to Dev studio portal/desginer portal. There you can see case type menu.
Approach 2: If 1st approach is not working then follow below steps:
a) you must have got some [email protected] credentials, in excercise. Use that and login to dev studio.
b) search for your operator author_ie@gogoroad, open operator record.
c) Then open its access group, and check their the default portal, change it to Developer portal.
d) Log off and log in.

Hi Rakesh,
I should have been more specific about the environment itself. This is not the downloaded excercise system. I am using Pega cloud for the exercise and they dont provide any adminsitrator access. When I click the gear icon it refreshes itself and brings the menu on the left hand back. This looks like a product issue to me.

Hi Srini,
1. Please try to click on circle containing AI on the to right corner, and try switching the portal.
2. Please your exercise there must be some user mentioned with some admin privilege.
You can use that to change as per approach two
