Need help getting pega 8 excersise VM to work properly

I have downloaded the VM for the pega 8 excersise system. I run the VM in hyper-v on a Windows 10 machine.

After starting the VM, I get the following screen on the VM:

I have no login credentials, but I assume I do not need them here. So I leave the VM for what it is, and spin of a browser and go to http:/ Proprietary information hidden:9080 . However, I get a 503 error message:

I have no problem pinging the VM, so I think this is not a networking problem. What else can I do to diagnose this problem?
